Hillhouse

I kinda figured I could go to architecture school or build a house. After meeting more than a few people who had done the degree but then ended up on the outside of ‘Architecture’ I decided ending up with a house instead of a degree might be a safer bet. Polly and I also needed a place to live.

Unable to afford land we put together several groups of friends to buy a block and divide it. It was the early naughties and that was what seemed right at the time. The third group stuck and we ended up with 10 acres near Hawea Flat in Central Otago. Beautiful.

Things have changed. Toby, my brother now owns Polly’s half of the house and Merle, Maja and I are here living the high life and working to get the place finished :-)
